The Board Chairman of Advocates for Christ-Ghana, Mr. Edem Senanu has pleaded with the government to reconsider the decision of making the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination exercise compulsory.

Addressing the media, Mr. Senanu suggested that the exercise should be made optional and administered only on free will.

He called on the government to access the situation of countries leading in the vaccination because they equally have challenges that we state as reasons for making the vaccination compulsory.

Several investigations suggest that getting fully vaccinated does not protect the person from the Omicron variant. He said.

Again, he stated that according to research available to his outfit, the vaccines may rather cause harm to the immune system of people receiving more vaccines. The government should therefore respect the right of the people, Mr. Senanu said.
