Three men aged between 25 and 35years met their untimely death in a gory accident at Ayamfuri, a mining community in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.
The Assemblymember for the Area, Mr. Kwabena Enin Castro in an interview with Nyce90.7FM news explained that the incident occurred early Tuesday morning 8th June 2021 around Ayamfuri cemetery.
Explaining the cause of the accident he said, the mining truck which belongs to Awaso Bauxite en route from Takoradi run over a private vehicle with three miners onboard.
The deceased whose names were given as Akwasi Bacha the driver, King Medals, and Frank all workers at Rock Sure a subcontractor for Persus mining. They died at the spot.
They believe that the accident was a result of overtaken but is yet to be confirmed by the police.
