COVID-19: Global cases surpass 13 million

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded globally as of today (13th July 2020) is 13,061,725.

According to Worldometer, global recorded recoveries and deaths also stand at 7,608,492 and 572,207 respectively.

Out of the 4,881,026 active cases, 4,822,340 representing 99% are in mild condition. Whiles 58,686 representing 1% are in serious or critical condition.

Per records, the United States of America, Brazil, India, Russia, and Peru are the top 5 countries with the highest number of cases in the world.

In Africa, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, and Algeria are also the 5 leading countries in terms of total recorded cases.

The impact of the virus has since it’s emergence shook to the core of all sectors of the world. The world is however gradually overcoming the shocks of the virus and bringing lives back to normalcy.
