We will continue to demand accountability from government – Minority

The Minority in Parliament says they will continue to make the government account for any amount generated and spent during their tenure.

Asawase MP, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak who doubles as the Minority Chief whip gave this assurance on behalf of the caucus saying, they are using every means possible to ensure that every detail concerning all expenditures made by the government is made known.

He added that his side in Parliament will capitalize on avenues like, presentation of the State of the Nation’s address, budget presentations etc. to seek clarification and demand accountability.

Already, the Minority in Parliament has given the government a tough time in parliament since the inauguration of the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic. Aside the equal numbers on both the NPP and NDC sides, the Speaker of Parliament being a member of the opposition NDC has also been a challenge for the government.
