Stakeholders disagrees with Appointment Committee over Greater Accra Regional Minister Nominee.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, Linda Akweley Ocloo is the fastest nominee to complete the Parliamentary Appointments Committee’s vetting so far.

The nominee was not asked any questions by the committee members.

Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin only indicated that the delegation that accompanied her is formidable and proves her competence to run the Ministry.

After that, Chairman, Bernard Ahiafo acknowledged the nominee’s guests and discharged Linda.

Reacting to what happened, Mussa K. Dankwah is the Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global InfoAnalytics posted on his social media handle that, Shocking, so no MP asked any question. I am truly shocked, indeed, something will never change. We will never get there. Is it just coincidence that no minority or majority MP asked a question? So they could not ask any question despite numerous challenges facing the region? Since when did powerful delegation accompanying a nominee equates to competence?

In similar development, A Political Analyst Dr. Asante Okyere, says the Appointment committee could have done better.

According to him, the region is facing several challenges should they could have asked her.
