According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 30% of women globally have experienced physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner at least once in their lifetime.
Domestic violence and child marriage put teenage girls ‘ lives at risk. Every year, 12 million girls are married before the age of 18 — often forced into unions due to tradition, debt, and poverty.
At Challenging Heights, we condemn these acts of violence and injustice that destroy the beautiful futures these girls deserve. To help end this canker, we provide shelter to girls in vulnerable situations and guide them into apprenticeships in fashion or cosmetology, empowering them to build successful, independent lives despite the challenges they’ve faced.
