Transfer news: Confirmed Big Moves & Rumors

Liverpool has reached a total agreement in principle with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Ekitike in a deal worth £79m (€91m).

That is made up of a guaranteed initial fee of £69m (€80m) plus £10m (€12.5m) in add-ons.

It is understood the add-ons require success from both the player and the club in order to be met in full.

Ekitike is expected to fly into the northwest for a medical later this week.

Barcelona are expected to cover all of Rashford’s wages during the proposed loan.

The England international has publicly said he would like to play for Barcelona.

The move for Rashford is understood to have been given the green light by head coach Hansi Flick after he spoke with the player.

Rashford will still have two years left on his United deal when this proposed loan move end

Benjamin Sesko is a player who says, ‘Okay, if there is not the right offer this summer, I can also imagine staying at RB Leipzig.’

“But there are also now many, many movements in the background, and there are also talks with interested clubs to our clear understanding that Manchester United is targeting him.

“He’s one of two or three candidates as a new number nine striker for United. Then the other one is Nicholas Jackson.

“I cannot close the door for a possible Chelsea interest. Let’s see what will happen in the next two or three weeks with Benjamin Sesko ahead.”

“Xavi Simons is a player who has made clear internally that he wants to leave the club immediately.

“He doesn’t want to play for RB Leipzig next summer. And right now, there’s a lot of movement in the market. His brother is representing him, and they also get support from Epic.

“Epic is a very, very big agency, with many big connections in the Premier League. To my understanding, they are looking for possible interests in the Premier League.

“So let’s see if there will be movement with Chelsea, or, for example, with Arsenal.

“Right now, because he was also linked to Bayern, I cannot confirm that Bayern is pushing for Xavi Simons, maybe later in the transfer window, but not right now.

“We are convinced that he can leave RB Leipzig in the range of 50, 60, €65m.”
