Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin delivered a strongly worded message at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference, urging members to remember that “no individual is bigger than the party.”

Addressing thousands of party faithful gathered at the University of Ghana Stadium, Afenyo-Markin cautioned against arrogance, internal wrangling, and divisive behavior, stating that the NPP’s strength must come from collective discipline, mutual respect, and unity of purpose.
As delegates deliberate on more than 50 proposed motions and brace for a looming court ruling on the legality of the conference, Afenyo-Markin’s address has added to growing calls for a humbler, more focused, and forward-looking NPP.
The conference continues with key addresses from party leadership, votes on constitutional changes, and strategic planning for the next electoral cycle.
