Liverpool has entered advanced negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt over the signing of 23-year-old French striker Hugo Ekitike, a move that could cost the Reds up to €100 million. The deal has gained momentum after Newcastle United backed out following a rejected £70 million offer.

Ekitike, who scored 15 goals and registered 8 assists in the Bundesliga last season, is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield. Sources suggest the player prefers Liverpool over other suitors, including Chelsea and Manchester United, due to the chance to play under new manager Arne Slot and compete in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is pushing to finalize a deal for Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP. The Gunners are prepared to pay £63.5 million to bring in the powerful forward who scored 27 goals in Portugal last season.

Arsenal are also targeting João Palhinha from Bayern Munich to add steel to their midfield. Mikel Arteta is keen on reinforcing the squad for another title push after narrowly missing out last season.
