Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has briefed the media on the National Service Scandal under the broad banner of Operation Recover All Loot.
The Attorney General provides a breakdown of monies stolen in the National Service ghost names scandal. In the 2022/2023 service year alone, GHS 350 million was stolen. The total amount stolen is GHS 548,333,542.

According to the Attorney General, Former Deputy Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Gifty Oware-Mensah and her husband created a company using NSS ghost names to secure a bank loan.
In all, she created 9,934 ghost names to appropriate the money.
She took a loan of GH30,698,218 from ADB and transferred it into 4 different accounts.
