President Mahama names members of his 19-member cabinet.

President John Dramani Mahama held the first meeting of his newly constituted cabinet at Jubilee House on Thursday, February 20, 2025, where ministers provided briefings on national security and the economy.

The Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who addressed journalists after the meeting, said the session was primarily to introduce cabinet members and outline expectations for their roles.

Mr Ofosu announced that the 19-member cabinet, chaired by the president, is composed of:

  1. Minister for Finance: Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson
  2. Minister for the Interior: Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka
  3. Minister for Health: Kwabena Mintah Akandoh
  4. Minister for Defence: Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah
  5. Attorney General and Minister for Justice: Dominic Akuritinga Ayine
  6. Minister for Energy and Green Transition: John Abdulai Jinapor
  7. Minister for Education: Haruna Iddrisu
  8. Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry: Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare
  9. Minister for Lands and Natural Resources: Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah
  10. Minister for Foreign Affairs: Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa
  11. Minister for Food and Agriculture: Eric Opoku
  12. Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations: Samuel Nartey George
  13. Minister for Roads and Highways: Kwame Governs Agbodza
  14. Minister for Environment, Science and Technology: Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed
  15. Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources: Kenneth Adjei
  16. Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs: Ahmed Ibrahim
  17. Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection: Naa Momo Lartey
  18. Minister for Transport: Joseph Bukari Nikpe
  19. Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment: Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo
