Sonnie Badu Envisions Future Pastoral Role for John Mahama

In an inspiring announcement, gospel musician and founder of Rockhill Church in the United States, Sonnie Badu, has expressed his belief that President John Dramani Mahama is destined for a significant role in ministry.

In a recent Instagram post, Badu shared his thoughts, suggesting that Mahama’s successful re-election marks a pivotal moment for him, paving the way for his future service in God’s ministry. “Now that His Excellency has accomplished his comeback mission, there is one more milestone ahead; consider this a prophecy: His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor,” he remarked.

Badu concluded his message by noting the uniqueness of this potential transition, saying, “He might become the first pastor to serve as a president. Congratulations in advance!”

John Dramani Mahama was inaugurated as the 6th President of the 4th Republic of Ghana on January 7, 2025, succeeding Nana Akufo-Addo. He was sworn in by Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo in a ceremony held at the Black Star Square in Accra.

Notably, Mahama previously served as president from January 7, 2013, to January 6, 2017, making history as Ghana’s first leader under the 4th Republic to lose an election and return to power after contesting two additional elections with a significant victory.
