Franklin Cudjoe, the founder and President of IMANI Africa, has positively regarded President John Dramani Mahama’s recent ministerial appointments, describing them as strategic and well-thought-out.
Following the announcement of the President’s first list of three ministerial appointments on January 9, 2025, Mr. Cudjoe expressed his support for Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who has been appointed as Minister-designate for the Ministry of Finance. Drawing from his previous experiences with Dr. Forson, Mr. Cudjoe highlighted the appointee’s extensive background in the financial sector and emphasized the importance of providing him with robust support in his new role. “Given Ato Forson’s wealth of knowledge and experience in finance, I believe he truly deserves our full backing,” he commented.
Mr. Cudjoe further praised President Mahama’s initial selections across various sectors, indicating that they reflect a thoughtful and adept approach. He specifically noted that Abu Jinapor, another appointed minister, possesses an impressive ability to articulate financial and economic matters in Parliament, which he finds commendable. “His articulate communication and depth of understanding in these areas are quite remarkable,” Mr. Cudjoe stated.
In addition, Mr. Cudjoe expressed confidence in Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister for Justice-designate, regarding his professionalism and integrity as a lawyer. “Dr. Ayine has the right temperament and expertise to navigate complex legal landscapes, and I am optimistic about his capacity to uphold justice in his role,” he remarked.
Overall, Mr. Cudjoe believes that the collective expertise of these individuals will contribute positively to their respective ministries and advance the government’s agenda .
