Education is the key to every nation, for that matter, former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo and his NPP government introduced FREE Senior High School, aiming at easing the burden of parents by allowing their children to have full access to education.
The policy has however come to stay with the hope that the current Mahama government will continue to intensify the policy.
With this regard, the Tufuhemaa of Gomoa Kokofu Traditional Area, Nana Adoawaa has expressed her concern about the Free Senior High School policy by entreating President Mahama to better the policy by implementing A Grade Cut Point.
In an interview with Nyce Media journalist, Nana Yaw Idan, the Queen’s mother explained that, because the policy is free, the children in our basic schools feel so relaxed in learning because they think whatever aggregate they will get in B.E.C.E will permit them to go to free Senior High School.

Nana Hemaa added that this will somehow promote the issue of unemployment in our country.
Nana Adoawaa said she is only urging President Mahamaa to introduce that Grade Cut Point policy so that if a child obtains that Grade target, then he or she qualifies for the free Senior High School.
But if the child fails to obtain that aggregate, then the parents will pay full school fees or re-set.
She said this will let the pupils learn very hard.
The Tufuhemaa again spoke about the Double Track System of the Free Senior High School policy as another problem worrying most Ghanaian parents.
Nana Hemaa said, that students will come and stay at home for over three months learning nothing, and if care is not taken, that very S.H.S girl will get pregnant which is very bad.
So she is pleading with the government to kindly abolish the Double Track System to curb those challenges.
