New Patriotic Party (NPP), a member of parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has accused the Finance Minister of intentionally painting a bleak picture of the country’s economic situation in an attempt to discredit the NPP government in his 2025 budget.
Dr. Amoah expressed his concerns over statements made by the Finance Minister, claiming that they were exaggerated and aimed at undermining the government’s achievements.
He contended that the government’s efforts in infrastructure development, education, and health should not be overshadowed by isolated negative reports.
“The Finance Minister is painting a picture that does not fully reflect the reality on the ground. While we acknowledge the challenges, such as inflation and debt, it is important to remember that the NPP government has made significant progress in many key areas. To constantly highlight only the negative aspects is a disservice to the people who are benefiting from our policies.”
