New Director general of Ghana Health Service promises to prioritise health workers welfare

Ghana health services have seen a number of walkouts by medical professionals demanding better salaries, improved conditions, and an end to the delay of allowances.

In June 2024 medical laboratory professionals workers unions went on strike over conditions of services.

At the official handing-over ceremony in Accra, Prof.Samuel Kaba Akoriyea admitted these concerns and assured health workers that he would be a champion for their well-being.
