Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, Kenneth Adjei, has pledged to leverage public-private partnerships (PPPs) to attract investment and technical expertise into Ghana’s housing sector.
Speaking during his vetting on Tuesday, January 28, Mr. Adjei stressed on the importance of collaboration with the private sector in tackling Ghana’s housing challenges and enhancing infrastructure development.
With Ghana facing a significant housing deficit, Mr. Adjei underscored the need for private sector involvement to bridge the gap.
He believes that mobilising resources from local and international partners will play a critical role in improving access to affordable and quality housing.
“I will leverage public-private partnerships to attract investment and expertise from the private sector. Given the opportunity, I would also love to partner with key actors such as the Greater Accra authorities and international organisations to support the housing sector,” he stated.
