Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has addressed recent speculation regarding Blakk Cedi, formerly Stonebwoy’s manager, taking the lead in his management team. These rumors gained traction after Blakk Cedi shared a heartfelt thanksgiving post following Shatta Wale’s performance at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica.
In a message of appreciation, Blakk Cedi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the success of the event, stating, “I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to serve as part of your team during the Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica. It was an honor to step in and contribute to your vision, and I do not take that privilege lightly.” He went on to highlight the respect and trust Shatta Wale extended to him throughout the process, emphasizing the seamless collaboration they shared.
However, during an interview at the Kotoka International Airport upon his return to Ghana on January 8, 2025, Shatta Wale made it clear that Blakk Cedi’s role was supportive and that Sammy Flex remains his official manager. “His contribution is akin to an interview by JoyNews; that’s the level of involvement Blakk Cedi had. I hold no issues with anyone. Though he previously managed Stonebwoy, I’m open to support from anyone. Shout out to Blakk Cedi for his help, but let’s clarify that he is not managing Shatta Wale. Sammy Flex is still my manager,” he stated.
Shatta Wale also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career. Looking ahead, he promised to deliver more music and explore new business ventures in the coming year.
