Ghana’s COVID-19 confirmed cases and recoveries now 9,638 and 3,636 respectively

Ghana’s Covid-19 case count has increased by 294 to 9,462, the Ghana Health Service has said.

On its Covid-19 webpage, the update indicates that 89 more people have recovered from the virus, increasing the tally for recoveries to 3,636.

Three people are currently in critical condition while 17 persons are also in severe condition.

Greater Accra still leads the other regions with 6,282 cases while Ashanti has 1,645.

The Western and Central regions, Ghana’s new hotspots have 580 and 478 cases respectively.

Eastern region’s figures have increased by one to 163; Volta has 102, Western North 74, Upper East 42 and Northern 37.

For the rest of the regions, Bono East has seven, North East two, Savannah one and Bono one.

Ahafo has yet to record any cases.

Regional breakdown

The Greater Accra Region is still leading the chart with 6,309 cases, followed by the Ashanti and Western Regions with 1,645 and 624 cases respectively.
