Beyoncé was overwhelmed with emotion as she accepted the Album of the Year award at the 2025 Grammys for her album “Cowboy Carter”. This marked her first win in this category after six nominations. She was accompanied on stage by her daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé’s win was a milestone moment in her career, and host Trevor Noah even joked about her 99 previous GRAMMY nominations. She also won Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Miley Cyrus. The day before the ceremony, Beyoncé announced a concert tour behind “Cowboy Carter”, which had been postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
In her acceptance speech, Beyoncé thanked the firefighters who presented the award and expressed her gratitude to the GRAMMYs, songwriters, collaborators, and producers who worked on the album. She also dedicated the award to Linda Martell, a country music pioneer who broke barriers as the first Black woman to play at the Grand Ole Opry.
