The Appointments Committee of Parliament is set to vet five ministerial nominees today, Tuesday, January 28, as part of the process to approve individuals designated for key government positions by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting which was scheduled at 9:00 am has delayed due to unknow circumcise,Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Minister-designate for Defence. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, MP, will be vetted for the position of Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.
The afternoon session will feature Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, at 1:00 pm.
This will be followed by Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, the Minister-designate for the Greater Accra Region, at 3:00 pm. The day’s proceedings will conclude with the vetting of Charity Gardiner, the Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region, at 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile some key members of the ruling party Dr Rashild Tanko Computer and Joyce Bawa Montari has expressed their feelings concerning the appointment of Dr Omane Boamah
