Akwaboah clarifies his choice to marry a virgin despite having children with two other women.

Ghanaian musician Akwaboah has responded to rumors about his marital status and fatherhood, confirming that he has children with different women but has not married any of them.

During Akwaboah’s wedding, speculations emerged suggesting that he had children with multiple women and then left them to marry his new wife, reportedly a virgin.

The rumors triggered widespread condemnation on social media, prompting Akwaboah to subtly respond to his critics online.

Yet, he has now publicly addressed the issue for the first time in an interview with Delay TV.

Acknowledging his past relationships and fatherhood, Akwaboah emphasized that his decisions were not made lightly and were influenced by specific circumstances.

“In life, these things happen. We set timelines or expect certain outcomes, but they don’t always unfold as planned. However, we still move forward. As a man, I wasn’t pleased with having children with two different women and then marrying someone else. But circumstances arose, and it’s something I can’t fully explain at this moment,” he shared with host Deloris Frimpong Manso.

Contemplating the possibility of sustaining those relationships, Akwaboah admitted that different circumstances might have resulted in a different outcome.

“Perhaps if those relationships had been more peaceful, I might have chosen to stay in them,” he conceded.

When questioned about why he broke the virginity of two women before settling for a virgin, Akwaboah responded, “They were not virgins when I met them. As for my wife, I didn’t choose her because she was a virgin. I didn’t even know until I expressed my desire to be with her.”

Akwaboah’s candid remarks offer insight into his journey, illuminating the complexities of relationships and the unexpected turns that life can bring.
