Break HIV Stigma – Winneba nursing training urges public.

The Winneba Community Nursing Training College has commenced its weeklong SRC Week celebration.

The aim is to call on the public not to stigmatise people living with HIV.

According to the Dean of Student Affair for the college, Palisca Addai said it is good for every individual to know their HIV status.

This can be achieved if people diagnosed with HIV are not stigmatised because majority of the youth currently, are testing positive to HIV She added.

The SRC President for the Winneba Community Nursing Training College, Degraft Duku Koomson added that they chose the theme to create awareness.

He said, the students are therefore joining other voices to campaign against HIV stigmatisation

The SRC Vice President, Stephen Obeng announced the programs outlined in the anniversary.
