John Mahama has charged National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters with protecting vote boxes and preventing any attempts to disrupt the polls on December 7, 2024.
Addressing branch and constituency executives in the Oti Region’s Krachi East Municipality, the presidential candidate urged them to work hard to protect their seats and stay until the ballots were counted.
Former President Mahama, who is contesting to lead the NDC, has stated that the party will be alert at polling stations during the 2024 elections.
He demanded transparency at the end of the results.
He stated that lessons were learned from previous elections, and that vigilance is what the party requires to defeat the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mahama, who is confident of becoming flagbearer of the NDC, asked the delegates to support him and the party to win the 2024 elections after the presidential primaries.
He urged all parliamentary aspirants to unite after primaries for the NDC to win the elections.
He was accompanied on the tour by Joshua Alabi, former NDC appointees, former MPs, former ambassadors, national executives, and the regional officers.
