C/R: Residents of Gomoa Fetteh appeal for improved security in the area

The Chiefs and People of Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region are living in fear and panic after five suspected land guards were shot dead by Police in an attempt to kill their Chief Nana Abor Atta at his Residence on Monday night.

Speaking to Yaw Boagyan, some of the residents in Gomoa Fetteh appealed to the Inspector General of Police to beef up security in their area most especially, ahead of the Christmas and New Year festivities.

The residents indicated that they are afraid of a possible counter attack from the suspected assassin or their allies.

They stated that, the community has always been a peaceful place until the shooting incidents happened.

Some of the residents are said to have relocated to other adjoining communities to seek refuge.

Meanwhile, the Police is still conducting investigations into the shooting incident with no arrest made so far.
