The Minority Spokesperson on Parliament’s Economy and Development Committee, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has expressed confidence in the long-term impact of former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s policy ideas, stating that Ghanaians will, over time, appreciate his contributions to national development.

According to Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, several of Dr. Bawumia’s initiatives have already been acknowledged by the current government as effective, while others are yet to be implemented.
“Over time, Ghanaians will see a lot of Bawumia’s brilliant ideas, some of which the government admitted worked and some that are yet to be implemented. And I am hopeful by 2028, Ghanaians will see that he is someone who should be given a chance,” he stated.
The Ofoase-Ayirebi MP argued that Dr. Bawumia’s vision for economic transformation, particularly in areas such as digitalization and economic reforms, laid a strong foundation for Ghana’s development agenda.
He maintained that as policies introduced during the previous administration continue to yield results, public perception about Dr. Bawumia’s leadership capabilities would become clearer ahead of the 2028 general elections.
