NSA reopens registration portal for final one-week window

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the reopening of its registration portal for one final week, from Monday, December 15 to Monday, December 22, 2025, to allow eligible prospective national service personnel who failed to register earlier to do so.

The Director-General of the Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, criticised what she described as deliberate delays and attempts by some personnel to bypass the official process.

Speaking to the media, she noted that several regional offices have been left idle because many deployed personnel are refusing to report, in the hope that they can

“We have heard you. We have heard your cries, your outbursts, your anger, and even the insults. We have read the appeals. So, in the spirit of equity and national service, and as a listening institution, we are making an important adjustment. It is a very difficult decision on our part, but it is necessary,” she said.

Ms. Seddoh announced that the National Service Registration and Validation Portal will be reopened for one final week, from Monday, December 15 to Monday, December 22, 2025.

To ensure that no one is disadvantaged by the weekend, she said she has directed NSA staff nationwide to work on Saturday, December 20, as an additional day to facilitate access and enhance the process.

She stressed that eligibility for this reopening is strictly limited to personnel who submitted reposting requests due to rejection by institutions and possess official release or rejection letters, as well as those who are yet to complete regional validation due to genuine difficulties.

“This is not an opportunity for new registrations. It is a final window to rectify outstanding issues,” she emphasised.

Ms. Seddoh further announced that after December 22, 2025, the portal will be permanently closed for the 2025/2026 service year, as the Authority prepares for the deployment of nurses, which is expected to begin later in December.

She explained that the closure is essential as the NSA enters the final phase of preparations for the deployment of the next batch of service personnel, urging all eligible individuals to take advantage of this final opportunity.
