President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to propel Ghana’s development to a level where no future government will be able to reverse the gains being made under his administration.

Speaking during a courtesy call by the Christian Council of Ghana at Jubilee House on Tuesday, November 18, President Mahama said his mission is firmly anchored on ensuring long-term national progress that will outlast electoral cycles.
“My mission is to use the mandate Ghanaians have given me to move Ghana to a level where anybody who comes after cannot reverse the gains that we have made,” he stated.
The President referenced ongoing regional and global instability, noting that many countries struggling with persistent conflict and regression often suffer from poor governance and an inability to sustain developmental achievements.
Ghana, he stressed, must build institutions and systems that ensure resilience regardless of political transitions.
Mahama said his administration is intensifying efforts to protect national progress by strengthening governance structures, pursuing accountability, and stabilising the economy. He noted that the government is currently prosecuting several corruption-related cases involving officials of the previous administration, signalling a renewed determination to safeguard public resources.
He added that ongoing economic stabilisation measures are crucial to creating the foundation upon which irreversible national development can be built.
According to the President, Ghana’s future stability is tied to the durability of its economic and institutional reforms, and his administration is committed to ensuring that these reforms endure long after his tenure.
