The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has officially announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House in Accra.

This follows an earlier notice dated October 6, 2025, which deferred the original commencement date of the meeting. In a new statement issued from the Office of the Speaker on October 8, Speaker Bagbin invoked Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament to formally notify Members of Parliament (MPs) and the public of the revised date.
The resumption marks the beginning of the third and final meeting of the current parliamentary calendar year, during which key national issues, bills, and financial matters—especially ahead of the 2026 budget—are expected to be tabled for deliberation.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Hon. Ntim Fordjour, has alleged that the government’s inability to provide the necessary support for Parliament was the reason the House could not resume on the earlier scheduled date.
According to him, Ghana is currently in a very dangerous situation.
