The Ghana Statistical Service has revealed that the youth unemployment in the country at the end of 2024 is alarmingly high.
This is because the number of youth aged 15 to 35 years who are unemployed stands at 22.5 percent.

Additionally, ages from 15 to 24 years stood at 32 percent who are unemployed.
Government Statistician Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu made this known when he was addressing the public on the quarterly labor statistics, July 2024 edition.
However, the general unemployment rate reduced from 13.3 percent to 13.1 percent at the end of 2024.
