Dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has expressed gratitude to officials of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following his release from custody.

Speaking live on his social media platform on Thursday, August 21, he praised EOCO for treating him fairly during his detention.
Shatta Wale revealed that the EOCO officers were professional and ensured he went through the right processes during his time with them.
“To all the staff at EOCO, you guys have been wonderful. At least I came there and you guys really took me through the rightful processes that were needed. I just want to say God bless you,” he said.
The artiste also thanked his fans and supporters for standing by him throughout the ordeal.
One Don is safe, I’m home now, and I want to say a big thank you [to fans] for supporting and being around me in times like this because I needed you guys the most and you held me down,” he added, giving a special appreciation to his mentor, Nii Original, whom he described as “a father” to him.
Shatta Wale was released after nearly two days in EOCO custody following a variation of his bail conditions in connection with an ongoing investigation into his acquisition of a luxury vehicle.
His manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah, also known as Sammy Flex, confirmed to JoyNews that the initial bail sum of GH¢10 million was reduced to GH¢5 million with two sureties to be justified.
Under the new conditions, the musician is required to report to EOCO three times a week as investigations continue.
