A coalition of more than 490 youth organizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), comprising both substantive and deputy youth organizers from across the country, has picked nomination forms for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 2026.
The youth stormed the party’s national headquarters to pick the forms on his behalf.
According to the youth, they believe Dr.Bawumia is the right man for the job.
They added that his “innovative policies and forward-looking governance approach make him the ideal leader to steer Ghana beyond 2028.”
As a symbolic show of loyalty, the group announced plans to mobilize resources and pick up Dr. Bawumia’s nomination forms on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
