A Security Analyst, Emmanuel Kotin, has advised the public not to politicize the arrest of individuals allegedly wishing the president death.
Two renowned individuals, identified as Yayra Abiwu, also known as AY (TikTok handle: yayra4real), and Prince Ofori, popularly known as Fante Comedy—the host of the live video—have been arrested for allegedly verbally abusing the President and issuing threats to kill him and his entire family.

The suspects are currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters, where they are assisting with investigations.
In a statement by the police, it was stated that they have commenced an investigation into a viral TikTok video in which they were heard threatening the lives of President John Dramani Mahama and the First Lady.
“So far, two people, Prince Ofori and Yayra Abiwu, are in Police custody assisting the ongoing investigation, while efforts are underway to get other persons believed to be connected to the video to assist the investigation,” the statement read.
According to him, they should enforce the law and ensure that those who are hiding behind social media to break the law are dealt with.
