Ghanaians mourn fallen heroes.

A devastating helicopter crash has claimed the lives of eight members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and security officers who were traveling to an event in Obuasi, sending shockwaves throughout the nation.

The tragic military helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 6, has reportedly claimed the lives of eight individuals, including prominent government officials and military personnel.

The confirmed list of casualties includes; Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence Dr. Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed – Member of Parliament for Tamale Central and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate, Sergeant Leader –Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer –Manin Twum-Ampadu, Sergeant -Ernest Addo Mensah.

In an interview with Nyce News, a section of Ghanaians have expressed their condolences to the loved ones.

They are therefore urging the government to ensure that all aircraft used for official events are thoroughly inspected and meet the highest safety standards, in the view of a concerned citizen.
