The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Armah Kofi Buah, states that his Ministry, in collaboration with the Transport Ministry, the Ports and Harbours Authority, and the Ministry of Finance, has begun tracking the movement of all excavators and earth-moving equipment in Ghana.

They have so far impounded 1,200 excavators, ending validation before clearance at the port.
The aim is to identify equipment location and compliance to ensure that they are not being used for illegal purposes.
