The Accra High Court has dismissed the injunction application that sought to stop the Electoral Commission from rerunning the elections in 19 polling stations in Ablekuma North.

NPP parliamentary candidate Akua Afriyie has filed an application at the Accra High Court seeking a 10-day interim injunction against the Electoral Commission
Commission’s directive to rerun elections in 19 polling centres within the Ablekuma North Constituency.

According to the NPP, the EC decision to conduct a rerun is unacceptable.

According to Justice Ali Baba, the petition is frivolous.

The application was ex parte without notice to the EC and NDC candidate.
