Club World Cup: Champions League winners PSG stunned by Botafogo and Messi stunner gives Inter Miami victory over Porto.

Paris Saint-Germain were left stunned as they were beaten 1-0 by Brazilian club Botafogo in the early hours of Friday morning.

Luis Enrique’s side had been hoping to follow up their crushing 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in their Club World Cup opener – but reported Nottingham Forest target Igor Jesus sealed victory.

Botafogo sits at the top of Group B, with two wins from two. PSG sit second, level with Atletico but with a superior goal difference.

Lionel Messi curled in a stunning free-kick to give Inter Miami a 2-1 victory over Porto in Group A.

The MLS side were held to a goalless draw by Al Ahly in their opening clash and then had to come from behind against the Portuguese side.

Samu put Porto ahead in only the sixth minute from the penalty spot after Noah Allen had brought down Joao Mario.

But Inter Miami equalized within two minutes of the second half. Marcelo Weigandt crossed for Telasco Segovia to hammer the leveler into the top corner.

Messi then produced a moment of magic, bending a 25-yard free-kick into the top right corner for his 50th goal in just 61 appearances for the club. It was his 68th free-kick goal of his career.
