In a major move to streamline the transition of graduates into national service, the Government of Ghana—through the National Service Scheme (NSS)—has officially released PIN codes for the 2025/2026 service year. This announcement comes as thousands of young graduates eagerly prepare for their mandatory one-year national service placement.
The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially announced the release of PIN codes for 132,393 prospective national service personnel drawn from 100 accredited tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 service year. This marks a significant stride in the government’s effort to enhance data transparency and curb irregular submissions.
The release, made public on June 17, 2025, reflects a notable 26% reduction in numbers compared to the average over the past three years, with the highest drop—36%—from the 2022/2023 cycle. According to the NSA, this decline is not due to a fall in graduate numbers but rather the result of improved data validation and the elimination of inflated or bogus submissions.
125 PIN codes have been issued to graduates submitted by accredited institutions.
An additional 908 PIN codes are pending final verification for private applicants, including:
Ghanaian students who studied abroad.
Defaulters and previously deferred individuals now ready to serve.
Those awaiting verification are advised to contact NSA support by June 24, 2025, if their PINs remain inaccessible.
