UEW public lecture series: We must advance education in Africa – Dr. Edmond Moukala

The Rep in Ghana for UNESCO Dr.Edmond Moukala has urged Africans to advance in education.

Speaking at a lecture at the University of Education Winneba on empowering minds and shaping futures for twenty-first-century education.

Dr. Edmond Moukala said he has witnessed firsthand hand incredible power of education to transform lives, communities, and nations. Today we have gathered not to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing education today but to get collective commitment to shaping a better tomorrow.

He therefore urged African leaders to empower young ones to think boldly and lead with purpose.

The deputy minister for education Hon Clement Apark said to truly empower minds and shape the future we must embrace innovative nature critical thinking and foster creativity in our classrooms.

At the Ministry of Education we are committed to creating an ecosystem that supports lives learning teachers’ development and integration of digital tools and resources initiatives such as the Ghana Accountability for learning outcomes project curriculum reforms, the emphasis on stem education, and the investment in infrastructure and digital platforms are all steps in the right direction.
