The Minister for Energy and Green Transition John Jinapor has accused Akufo Addo’s previous government of running down the energy sector.
According to him, the previous Mahama left a debt of 9 billion in 2017
However, the NPP government collected 45 billion energy sector levies.
While they were leaving the government in 2025, the NPP government left a debt of 80 billion energy sector debt.
He said this has become a challenge to the new government.
He was addressing Parliament.
