In response to the escalating tensions, Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey traveled to Obuoho-Fante to assess the situation firsthand.
She was accompanied by a team of police personnel.
The Minister and her team visited both the community and the site where the excavators were burned, seeking to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and to de-escalate the rising tensions.

She has since been speaking to the media about the happenings within the community.
She urged President Mahamah to institute a probe.
