Archbishop Duncan-Williams Encourages NDC to Embrace Consistency and Love for Country

During a recent sermon at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held in Accra, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder and General Overseer of Nicholas Duncan-Williams Ministries, shared valuable insights with members of the newly elected government. He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistency in personal relationships and advised against allowing newfound power to alter their character.

Referencing President John Mahama and his wife, he praised their steadfastness in relationships, highlighting that their example serves as a guide for others in leadership. “This President and his wife exemplify consistency; they remain unchanged regardless of their political standing. As you step into your new roles, I urge you to hold on to this principle. Stay true to yourself and your values,” he urged the leaders.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams expressed his belief that if the government embraces this message, “God will work wonders through you, enabling you to significantly contribute to the advancement of our nation.”

He further addressed the pressing issues of corruption and poverty in Ghana and Africa, attributing these challenges to a lack of genuine love for the country. He stressed the necessity for leaders to demonstrate a deep commitment to the welfare of the nation and its people. “When you love your country and its citizens, you will act in their best interest, steering clear of exploitation,” he stated.

He concluded by expressing his optimism regarding the new President’s leadership potential, emphasizing that with love for the nation and a focus on the common good, Ghana can overcome its economic challenges and become an attractive destination for its citizens both at home and abroad.
